With all the success people keep mentioning with the 2.6.0-tests on the
Alpha, I figured I'd give it a go this weekend with -test8. I'm not
having much luck.

It seems no matter what I try, the machine flips right back to the SRM
as soon as aboot loads the kernel. I can't see any output from the
kernel boot text, that's not to say there isn't one or two lines, but
that would the most, as it crashes back to the SRM console very fast,
with an error and output of the PC register.

This is a Rawhide machine, a DS5305, which is believe to be about the
same as the AS1200, just in white box form (yes it does support SRM).

Is there something I'm missing? I have 2.4.19 running on it right now,
that works fine. I copied my old config over to the 2.6.0-test8 did a
"make oldconfig" to pick up the new options, then reviewed the
menuconfig to add or correct some little details. Anyone have any idea
off hand what little bit of magic I'm missing?
