  This was my first try, but none of snd_sb* work. I don't have *just* sb:
# modprobe -l|grep snd.*sb
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sbawe.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb8.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb8-dsp.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16-dsp.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16-csp.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.0-test9/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb-common.ko

  sbawe,sb8,sb16 all cannot see the sound card.

I add isapnp=0 only to es18xx. Should I try one of sb's with isapnp=0?
