Subject: performance overheads

Hi
Before installing Immunix I had a look at the performance page which
indicated there was no noticable performance overheads with stackguarded
software. One of the users on a machine I installed with it is now
complaining about speed [complaining is not new to this guy] and I had a look
at his machine - load seemed to go above one, just while ftp'ing a large
file, while on another redhat 6.2 installation (different network card,
less memory and less processor speed) the load was seemingly barely
touched. The main thing that seemed to be higher than usual on the top list
was the rpciod (not sure what it does though). Anyone had similar experiences ?
Theres a possibility its the card, i'm going to check it out at the weekend
but just doing some advance checking.

Thanks

David
