Unfortunately, it's an issue with egcs 1.1.2's support for C++
templates. In the INSTALL file included within the tripwire distribution,
they explicitly state that gcc 2.95.2 or later should be used. I'm
working on a forward port of StackGuard to newer gcc distributions,
but enough changed in the i386 back-end (where StackGuard lives) that
I haven't been successful.
