Hello,
One of the files in one of our server is growing to more
than 2Gb , I have checked that there is some problems with
the 2GB file limit:
dd if=/dev/rd/c0d0p7 of=fichero
dd: writing to `fichero': File too large
4194304+0 records in
4194303+0 records out
4194304+0 records in

dd: closing input file `/dev/rd/c0d0p7': Bad file descriptor
uname -a
Linux gozer 2.2.19-7_iris-smp-hwraid #1 SMP Fri Aug 3 13:54:48 CEST 2001 i686 unknown
(rebuid of the RPM kernel package ;-)
cat /etc/immunix-release
Immunix Linux release 7.0 (Stolichnaya)
rpm -qv glibc
glibc-2.2-12_imnx_7
ls -al fichero
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2147483647 Jan 18 00:01 fichero
I have read in some web pages that you need to
rebuild the applications and links it against a glibc that
support large files. Has the the new glibc the large file
support enabled ?
thanks
