Quick note on this point: strictly speaking, DJB's projects are not
"open source development" at all, at least afaict. That's fine by me in
this case because I trust him and his code, but I just wanted to make
that minor correction.

Anyway, regarding the (OT) thread about his license, one of the biggest
problems with qmail's (and djbdns's, and his other stuff) distribution
policy is that it requires that the software be installed to the same
path on any system; this means that GNU/Linux distributors would have
the throw the FHS/FSSTND out the window. Personally, I like the FHS...

If you were to search for "fhs" I imagine you would find most of the
thread. Maybe also "debian" and "rpm" and "package" -- stuff like that.
