Hm, I'd think working to fix the problems in OpenSSH might be more
fruitful.
Are you planning to be compatibile with all various SSHv2 clients? There
may be a lot of compat code that might need to be there.
(I'd prefer an IMAP server before rewritten sshd, personally.)
