Fair enough (and good for keeping on topic).

For this, I would make the built rpms and/or srpms available somewhere
(ftp) and post something on cooker/expert lists to let people know of
their availability. Many people do this, and it's considered
acceptable. Obviously right now with 8.0 just coming out, no one will
be looking at it for the main distro, but once it is out and cooker is
open again, I would email the maintainer again and ask them to look
into doing the update. It shouldn't take that long for it to get into
cooker, although it probably will not show up in updates unless there
    is a security flaw.

I will ask the question. If there is no good response, I can setup
another list here similar to mdk-securityfreezer-burn.org (an
alternative to security-discuss/security-announce for when there were
many mailing list problems). One reason I think it might be opposed
is the resources for it... there are some... issues... with the
mailing lists occassionally due to high load, and adding another
mailing list might escalate the problem a bit.

I will setup a mdk-adminfreezer-burn.org mailing list a little later
on today for the time being. If an official list comes out,
excellent, but if not, that one can be used. I will post any results
to this list to let everyone know.
