    Just thought I'd chip in and say there is one way and possibly two ways
    to search the Mailman-users archive.

    First, if you go to the "home page" of the mail list there are
    instructions on how to search the archives using a Python related search
    page. (Sorry, I found it last night (using a Google search on
    [Mailman-users archive], IIRC) but didn't save it.)

    Second, something that works for almost any archive subject to three
    conditions:
       * The archive is stored on the Internet
       * You know the URL of the archive.
       * The owner of the archive has not included "robots" directives to
    prevent the archive from being indexed.

    Assuming the above three conditions are satisfied, you can search the
    archive using Google by including a search term like "site:<URL of
    archive site>" along with the terms you are searching for.
