If in 2), why only one user? Maybe if one selects more than one, the
installer can ask afterwards whether the user _really_ wants root mail
to more than one real user, and let him do it if he wants to. You can
also check here whether there was no user selected, and present a list
(multi-checkable) of existent users, and a text field for entering an
outside address.
Also, the checkbox can be checked by default for the first user and off
by default for the rest.
