MandrakeSoft now traded on the U.S. OTC Market under stock symbol MDKFF
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

In only three years, MandrakeSoft has achieved significant success by
carving out an impressive share of the Linux market. MandrakeSoft now
broadens its ability to compete with other Linux companies like Redhat
(Nasdaq:RHAT) and Caldera (Nasdaq:CALD) on the financial markets field.

We are pleased to announce that MandrakeSoft is now traded on the U.S.
OTC market. OTC (Over-The-Counter) is a negotiated market between
brokers which takes place outside of the regulated exchange.

All interested investors can now trade MandrakeSoft stocks with
a local broker or with online brokers such as Ameritrade and
E*Trade. The ticker symbol for MandrakeSoft is 'MDKFF'.

MandrakeSoft first became listed on the European 'Marché Libre',
operated by Euronext, in August 2001. However, volumes traded on the
'Marche Libre' are typically small. This has discouraged many investors
and analysts usually averse to following a market subject to sharp
fluctuations inherent in small volume trading. With its stock now being
traded on the U.S. OTC market, MandrakeSoft effectively becomes a
full-fledged participant in the largest and most active financial center
worldwide. This should create a virtuous circle: OTC trading is also
likely to vastly increase the volume of company stock being traded
daily, thereby making it more attractive to investors and analysts.
Ultimately, this will help to ensure that the stock price accurately
reflects company performance and future prospects instead of depending
too heavily on small volume trading.

The next step for MandrakeSoft is to become listed in a more established
market providing real-time quotations. Now that it has secured its
place as one the most widely used Linux distributions supported by a
strong community of users and contributors, the company hopes to build a
    powerful community of satisfied shareholders.

Quotes can be accessed at a number of Web sites including www.wsrn.com
    under the trading symbol MDKFF.
