I setup our LUG's mailing list with majordomo and use demime with it
(down Vincent, down...it was two years ago :) Demime is a big long perl
script that
a) strips all attachments
b) strips all html mail leaving only the text part
c) if no text, only an html part, then it converts the html part to
text.

Item c is sweet part of demime.
