There is nothing different about the MNF licensing than there is about
CUPS, MySQL, Qt, and many other GPL-licensed products.

If you're wanting updates for 2-year-old distro's, you're going to want
it to be more than "immediate", you're going to want it to be long-term.
The only way someone can provide long-term support is if they continue
generating sufficient revenue.
