[discuss] kernel-source in 9.2 iso's

This is a question one of the secteam will probably have to answer,
Vincent or Buchan if your out there?

I recently discovered that the kernel-source package is not included in
any of the 3 cd iso's for mdk 9.2, yet they appear in the tree on ftp
mirrors under CD1 (i586/Mandrake/RPMS).

Why was kernel-source taken out of the iso's ?

Is this going to be a recurring thing in all releases from now on? I
certainly hope not as things like nvidia/ati drivers require that you
have a known good kernel source installed. Take the nforce onboard
ethernet adapter for instance, you need to compile nvidia's nvnet module
which requires kernel-source, so you cant exactly download it from a
tree when its the only NIC you have.

Jordan.
