Hi, Vincent. Thanks for updating us on the situation. Everyone makes
mistakes from time to time, and although this one was a real bomb, it
is the first time Mdk Update has let me down in the 2 years I've been
using it.

I'd like to make a comment from the user point of view. You have a
balancing act to do, I know, but this problem was made much worse by
the fact that it happened late/Friday-Saturday. I wonder if all but
the most potentially devasting vulnerabilities to be fixed could be
held over until Monday mornings? At least if something goes wrong it
would be quicker to get it sorted. Maybe I'm out of line on this.
Any vulnerability is a problem, but some are only in fairly specific
circumstances. It has to be MandrakeSecurity's judgement, though.

From Joe's comment, should we take it that if we are asked about
removing packages before retrieval that is likely to mean that
something is wrong? Knowing that could save us a lot of pain.
