Is this connected to your ipsec setup or has it always been a
problem with your ISDN box (i.e. without ipsec)? You didn't
tell us, but I assume you have dynamically assigned IPs. In
the PPP handshake phase the interface's parameters get negotiated
and the interface gets reconfigured. This is done by "downing" +
changing + "upping" the interface. That's when any route "falls
down" when the interface is gone. Read (plus reread and reread:)
the pppd manpage and look at the ip-up and ip-down hooks (and
their *.local extension in SuSE), this could be your way out.
And no, this is not an appropriate message for -security. Consider
not following up or doing so in a more related group or list. Basic
network setup is off topic here.
