What version of SuSE and which package/version are you talking about?
Or did SuSE rename proxy-suite to suse-ftp-proxy?
If it's proxy-suite and if it's the same as with SuSE 7.2 you have to set
DestinationAddress, see the comment in the config file.
Without it it should not even start, did it start?
