Try something like
lsof | grep deleted
Deleted files that are still in use will show up like this:
ssh-agent 884 mk txt REG 3,7 485464 66421
/usr/bin/ssh-agent-RPMDELETE (deleted)
(Ooops - I just noticed I've still got an old copy of ssh-agent
running...:-))
