Excuse for barging in, hopefully I won't embarrass myself. This morning
I played with self-signing ssl certs, mod_ssl has a very good FAQ in
/usr/share/doc/packages/mod_ssl/ssl_faq.html, which says how to sign
csrs. "Due to some funnies with openssl ..." or some such it said to
use the shell script sign.sh for this. The script is in
apache-1.3.23-137.src.rpm, mod_ssl-2.8.7-1.3.23.tar.bz2. It worked as
is. Would this solve your problem too?
