Hi,
I'm using SuSE 7.3 and this keeps:
- PHP 4.0.6
- Apache/1.3.20
My question is really simple: I've tried to install, for security reasons, the PHP package kept in 8.1 just performing a simple download of the rpm files.
Well...also upgrading Apache, the libphp4.so module "refuses" to be loaded into apache config file. I played for hours trying to upgrade all the libs but in any case I've got: Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so PQescapeBytea
I've also installed the lasts Postgreesql packages, always from ftp.suse.com ... release 8.1 i586, but nothing ..... I gave up.
But...is it possible to do the thing I did? I mean: is possible to download a package from Suse 8.1 and installing it into my 7.3 ? Otherwise how can I update my packeges without buying for the 3rd time the SuSE distribution? :)
Thank you,
Fabrizio
