    Anyone read this article:
        http://www.eweek.com/article/0,3658,s=1884&a=23968,00.asp

"Microsoft spokesman Jim Desler told eWeek on Tuesday that the Redmond,
Wash.-based software firm would release the Server Message Block (SMB)
protocol later this summer to comply with the provisions of the proposed
final settlement between it and the Department of Justice in that antitrust
    case."

I wonder if the "licensing terms" would make cooperation between people
working with CIFS better or worse? Does anyone know what terms are likely
to be demanded by Microsoft - especially regarding non-disclosure?
