Each hardware vendor is allowed to choose from among a set of optional
pieces when they put together the operating system for their own Pocket
PC. It is quite possible that your PocketPC OS does not include DCOM
support.
I can't say anything more than that. My team (the DCOM/COM+ team) has
nothing to do with the implementation of DCOM for the PocketPC.

Subject: A simple DCOM (EXE type COM server) sample on Win CE 3.0/x86
want ed!
I have been trying a simple DCOM sample provided by Microsoft;
SAMPLE: Windows CE Local/DCOM Server with OLE Automation Support
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q291/3/89.ASP
However, I can't run this sample on my environment well.
CoCreateInstance call from a client side fails.
In spite of call by call traces inserted in server side,
I could not find causes.
I'm not sure that my Windows CE 3.0 device is perfect or
my build is correct enough.
Is any simple DCOM (EXE type COM server) sample that can be execute
easily on Windows CE 3.0/x86 available on the Internet?
