Help required about conerting vc6 project to vs.net solution

Hi there,
Does some one know any such instance where converting an ATL component into a vs7 solution rendered it useless.
I have an ATL component which implements activex properties and is meant to be activated inside a container, it works fine when the project is compiled in visual studio 6 but the activex components fails many asserts and doesn't show the the interface when it is compiled using visual studio.Net
