OK :)
they are the same as what we have been discussing all along:
1> I want hitless upgrades for my software, perhaps even
for the protocol that I am upgrading (a decoupling procedure
will no doubt eventually spark the same sort of jihad
in this forum).
2> Once the concept is fully developed and proven, I may want
wide deployment for continuous forwarding in the face of the
software and hardware crashes you brough up earlier.
Frankly, it seems to me that the observed behavior will
be very similar to a router performing headless forwarding
today (this too, has been said before.) without the usual
hit for fib flush during protocol reconvergence.
