    they are the same as what we have been discussing all along:

    1> I want hitless upgrades for my software, perhaps even
    for the protocol that I am upgrading (a decoupling procedure
    will no doubt eventually spark the same sort of jihad
    in this forum).

    2> Once the concept is fully developed and proven, I may want
    wide deployment for continuous forwarding in the face of the
    software and hardware crashes you brough up earlier.
    Frankly, it seems to me that the observed behavior will
    be very similar to a router performing headless forwarding
    today (this too, has been said before.) without the usual
    hit for fib flush during protocol reconvergence.
