    Hi,
        I am new to OSPF and would like to seek help
        in understanding some basic area configurations.

        Is it possible for two routers belonging to
        different areas to share a common LAN and exchange
        inter-area routes without going to the backbone?

        Is this a valid configuration?

        Any help is greatly appreciated!
