    I would sincerely appreciate recommendations regarding costing of links, in a
    mixed bandwidth environment, that include bit rates as low as 64 Kbps and as high
    as 10 Gbps.

    Is the maximum metric to a destination limited to 24 bits?

    Would 4x109/Ifspeed(bps) be an effective approach?
