No, the LSA is not deleted (flushed) as soon as its age reaches MAXAGE. It
is finally flushed when its no longer needed to ensure database
synchronization. Infact when a LSA reaches MAXAGE its flooded to its
neighbors like an ordinary newly-generated LSA. (ref section 13.3).
I dont *think* any vendor adds a fixed/random jitter to the MAXAGE timer.
