If you have installed the USB version of ACS card
reader, you will first need to unstall the USB driver,
before installing the serial driver. During the
uninstallation, you should be prompted to remove a
file "oem11.inf" manually, but sometimes the program
will not prompt. If you don't have that file removed,
you can't use the serial card reader. Even if the
program did not prompt, you should remove the file
manually. This is my experience in installing the
serial driver after uninstalling my USB driver on
win2000. Dunno if this is the same case, but writing
for your reference.
