Readers will be dropped by the resource manager if they return erroneous
information on some calls, especially those dealing with card
monitoring.
Are there any events in the eventlog relative to this reader?

I have a very strange situation where the resource manager does not
recognize a reader properly.

OS : XP SP1

The resource manager creates a registry value under
Cryptography\Readers\...
If I insert a card, the drivers get an IOCTL_POWER from the resouce
manager

But

The function SCardListReader reports

SCARD_E_NO_READERS_AVAILABLE
also SCardConnect fails.

A reboot does not solve this problem !

If other readers are connected , they are properly recognized by the
resource manager.

Is this a know problem ?
