Post-Installation Procedures for Slackware

Hello All:

I am most familiar with mysql thru RH 9.0 and win XP.
I have set up a slackware partition (ver 10.0) with
mysql ver 4.0.20.

Are there any special instructions for Post-Installation Procedures?
