MySQL Connector/C 6.0.0 Beta is now available!

From: Jim Winstead (Jim.WinsteadSun.COM)
Date: Wed Apr 01 2009 - 20:20:56 CDT

MySQL Connector/C 6.0.0, a new version of the C API for accessing
MySQL database servers, is now available. This is a beta release and
is intended to introduce you to the new packaging for this standalone
distribution of code that used to only be distributed along with the
server. This release should not be used in a production environment.

There are no new features in this release relative to the latest MySQL
6.0 server releases. The primary difference is the new CMake-based
build and packaging system.

MySQL Connector/C is now available in source and binary form from

    http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/c/6.0.html

and mirror sites. (Note that not all mirror sites may be up to date at
this point of time - if you can't find this version on some mirror,
please try again later or choose another download site.)

Feedback, bug reports, bug fixes, patches and so on are welcome and
appreciated:
