Oh sages of security,
I have heard rumors about religious wars on certain firewall mailing lists
concerning OSses oder SPF vs AG... ;-)
I would like some answers based on facts (with references) to the following
question:
Has any of the _current_ firewall-implementations of the major vendors
(TIS, Checkpoint, Raptor) on any Platform been cracked (compromised or
broken into)?
That is: Even though the setup was flawless, is there a known DOS-Attack
against these systems, can they be manipulated or do they pass data they
are not supposed to pass etc?
My own brief research in hacking archives didn?t bring up any results...
Any pointers to interesting archives?
Please leave aside probabilities, security policies, vulnerable hosts
behind the FW, incoming traffic etc...
Thanx in advance,
Hartmut Fehling
