The canonical hacker in his parent's basement or dorm room probably doesn't
have a CISSP certificate hanging on the wall, though he might have a
business card saying "Security Consultant."
I just threw away a catalog that sells certificates saying "Security
Consultant" for $9.95, (matching laminated ID folder, badge, and teeshirt
available at extra cost) which is cheaper than the exam, and even cheaper
than membership in one of the recent crop of security "associations."
