There have been three issues that spring to mind; one was unrestricted
proxying that allowed people to use your system as a (largely
anonymous) proxy, the second was a denial of service attack, and the
third a web server that offered up the contents of your system folder.
You should take care to only allow service to the 'inside,' and ensure
that all its special services are turned off.
