well, there's STel, but it's Unix only. Likewise there is SSLtelnet (as
added on to the SSLeay stuff from AU), and it is somewhat cross-platform,
but last time I checked, the PC client was very very poor, crashing frequently,
and not containing a working vt100 emulator.
The Unix clients and server seem to work pretty well though. Still prefer
stel though. Easier to build, smaller..
And, there's kerberos, but that's a different kettle of fish.
