Greetings,
I am looking for comparisons/white papers on the _security_ implications
with programming in ActiveX on top of C & C++, Java, C, and C++ for
applications that are not browser based. The following URLs that I have
found thus far are more oriented to browsers.
The only things that I have found so far are:
http://www.rl.af.mil/div/IFB/sbir/abstracts98/SBIR_abstract134a.html
http://www.sunworld.com/swol-09-1996/swol-09-activex.html
http://www.javaworld.com/jw-09-1996/jw-09-blundon.html
These are mostly based on browser:
http://www.cs.princeton.edu/sip/java-vs-activex.html
http://packetstorm.securify.com/papers/java/compsec97.html
http://www.ibm.com/java/education/untrusted.html
I will refrain from presenting my own opinions, but will ask the wizards.
TIA,
Jim
