Folks, I'm sorry to burden you with this stuff, but I feel I need to warn you in advance. UUNet Canada informed me that they were going to disconnect my link at 5:00pm EST March 26th, 1998. My sales rep. managed to get a one day reprieve as I was travelling. They are, practically, the only ISP in my area. Should they disconnect me I will be unable to approve messages to NTBugtraq. While http://listserv.ntbugtraq.com will continue to be available (its hosted by LSoft), http://www.ntbugtraq.com will not. This is DEFINITELY NOT a mailbomb request, but maybe a little letter-writing campaign will get their accounting folks to do their job properly, and their legal folks to correctly interpret our contract. I am working feverishly to avoid a disconnection, but if you feel that NTBugtraq is serving a useful purpose to your organization, you might want to drop a note to Chris Scatliff, UUNet Canada's President, at mailto:scatliffuunet.ca just to let them know, please mention account RCCON in your message. Maybe copy mailto:sales
uunet.ca just to give them a sense of how important NTBugtraq is. For the last 12 months they have continually sent me incorrect invoices, invoicing me for items I did not contract for or items I had already returned. During that time, I have spoken to everyone in their organization from A/R clerks to their Financial Controller in an effort to get the invoices corrected. At the same time, I have withheld payment from them until they provided a corrected invoice. Each person I spoke with along the way committed to getting the invoices corrected, however, they never have and continue to send incorrect invoices. Again, I'm sorry to burden you with this. Cheers, Russ
