Whoops!
This sort of thing happens every once in a while, accept my apologies.
When I first received this note about the .lnk, I tested it and today my
recollection was that it worked as advertised. In going over old messages I
hadn't put through to the list this morning, I came across it and thought it
would make for another data point for people to keep in mind (not an earth
shattering thing, just a data point). Thinking I'd tested it and it had
worked, I approved it.
Then, unfortunately, I remembered a conversation I'd had with MS on the
issue and, after a call from them reminding me they couldn't repro it, I
retested things. Nada, didn't work as advertised.
Marcus.Fredriksson
emw.ericsson.se dropped a note pointing to;
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q134/5/52.asp
which reaffirms that shortcut keys only work when they're in your Start menu
or Desktop.
Again, sorry for the temporary interruption in normal brain functionality.
If its any consolation, I poked my finger in my eye trying to scratch my
foot at the same time as hitting the approval button.
Cheers,
Russ
