FYI, MS02-017, referred to by NSFocus in their recent advisory, has not
yet been published by MS. I did check with NSFocus prior to releasing
their bulletin, they informed me that they advised MS they would be
doing this due to differences in the time zones.

They expect to see the MS Security Bulletin later today.

As for MS02-016, that hasn't been released either (some people were
wondering if they missed one because NSFocus referenced 17 but people
haven't seen 16 yet). MS don't number these as they are released. I
don't know specifically at what point the number is assigned, but
suffice it to say its before the bulletin is completed. As such, its
possible that bulletins are not released in sequential order (this has
happened several times in the past).

As you may or may not know, I have a program that's constantly scanning
MS' Security Bulletin site for updates and new bulletins. It will
automatically send a note to NTBugtraq the minute the bulletin is
available on the website (well, ok, within 5 minutes of it being
available). When you see that, you can then check for the bulletin.

Patch files and KB articles are in a similar boat. Patch files are
always available with the Security Bulletins, KB articles often take a
little longer to get up onto the site.

    Cheers,
    Russ - NTBugtraq Editor
