    Hi

You may be interested to know that there is a bug when a machine is connected to its DC by VPN and at the same time a user connects to it by remote desktop. Basically if the remote desktop connection is terminated with the VPN connection active, it will not be possible to re-log into the VPN'd machine. Any attempt at connection will give a 'no interactive logon rights' message, both from remote desktop and locally.

There are only 2 ways to recover from this situation: either log in as administrator to forceably end the user session, or to physically disconnect the means of maintaining the VPN connection eg pull the modem lead or network cable.

I have been in touch with MS about this, and our conclusion is the when connected by VPN, the remote desktop session is not ended correctly.
