Some Worldcom Web Hosting customers have been left to themselves to
apply patches and stop their boxes from attacking with the SQL Slammer
worm. I continue to be attacked from boxes belonging to Wcom, who they
claim belong to customers. They say they have told those customers to
get their boxes fixed, but Wcom has done nothing to prevent them from
continuing to attack other Wcom customers. Wcom hasn't even rebooted
these boxes (which might at least prevent them from attacking for some
time), although they have (they say) blocked UDP1434 from entering or
    leaving their netblocks.

So everyone but Wcom customers are protected from Wcom customers who are
infected with Slammer...yeah, that makes sense.

    Amazing, eh?

    ...just another footnote.

    Cheers,
