FYI, Andy Scott just reported that it also modifies;
HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\VxD\MSTCP\
"Domain"="mydomain.com"
"EnableDNS"="1"
"Hostname"="host"
"NameServer"="69.57.146.14,69.57.147.175"
It changes the HostName entry from what it's originally set as to "host" and adds the other entries around it. I also discovered it in a mirrored spot at ControlSet002. I found everything else and changed it back, as you mentioned below.
