Terminal Server policies

From: Gelfand, Roman (romanAXIUM.COM)
Date: Tue Oct 07 2003 - 09:01:13 CDT

We have discovered that "RestrictAnonymous" policy setting has an adverse
effect on the servers running Windows 2000 Terminal Server Licensing
component. Setting the policy on the Licensing Server to other than "None.
Rely on default permissions", will prevent all Windows 2000 Terminal servers
from connecting to the Licensing server. Event 1010 "The terminal services
could not locate a license server. Confirm that all license servers on the
network are registered in WINS\DNS, accepting network requests, and the
Terminal Services Licensing Service is running." is logged in the System
log.
