Hi all,

I've been trying to get leim (an emacs lisp package to provide
input methods) into ports framework, and found our emacs
port is missing VERSION variable. I guess it has not been
a problem because we did not have ports depending on emacs.
But, without it, the leim port that I'm working on will not
register the right dependency.

Sorry about this message to all of you. I know I should contact
the maintainer first. But, for some unknown reasons, the
message which I sent to the maintainer had remained in the mail
queue for a couple of days and the maintainer's mail server
wouldn't respond. (And, no, this was not a local network
problem.)
