I have no problems running this machine with softupdates, hmm, looks like
I have a few more to enable ;-) .. point being, I've been using softupdates
since usenix last June when it was enabled by default in the kernel (you
still have to enable it in the filesystem, but at least the code is in
the kernel to do it by default now) ...
