    No, fsck does not support background checking in BSDs.
    fsck on live fs is based on 'snapshot' feature. Support for snapshots
    is very alpha even in FreeBSD.

    I'm trying bring softupdates up to date with freebsd. I'm not developer,
    so i can't say will my work appear in OpenBSD code or not.
