Ok
Maybe I am very stupid, but what you guys tell me doesnt help me and doesnt answer my questions.
here is the output of "disklabel wd0c":
16 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
a: 240000 14313915 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 14200*- 14438*)
b: 240000 14553915 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 14438*- 14676*)
c: 20040450 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - 19881*)
d: 240000 14793915 swap # (Cyl. 14676*- 14914*)
e: 240000 15033915 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 14914*- 15152*)
f: 1176708 15273915 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 15152*- 16320*)
i: 10233342 63 unknown # (Cyl. 0*- 10152*)
j: 4080510 10233405 unknown # (Cyl. 10152*- 14200*)
k: 626472 16450623 unknown # (Cyl. 16320*- 16941*)
This definetely does NOT help me find which devices to use to mount other partition than root on /dev/wd0i
only devices I have for my disk 1 on controller one are wd0[a-p]
Well NONE of these devices mounts my freebsd /var or /usr partition.
I tried to MAKEDEV all, but it wont create any appropriate devices for those partitions.
its certainly not running disklabel that will tell me what to do.
So maybe I should read docs... but theres definetely not any way I could find any documentation about the way openBSD names disk devices.
