    I am not sure if you are booting from the floppy or the CD. You may
    want to try on of the other boot images available. While the BIOS issue
    is the best bet it is possible you have a hardware conflict that
    has shown up in 2.8. You may also want to try pulling any cards not needed
    by the installation process to see if one of them has gone bad.

    There is nothing deregulated about the electricity market in California.
    Just look at all the government folks involved in the problem :)

    You should stay off of current on a production server unless the need
    is great.
