    xf86config still exists in XF4. It has been converted to produce
    the new config file format. xf86config3 is the name I choosed for the
    version that produces XFree86 3.3.x config files.

    Since we ship both XFree86 3.3.6 and XFree86 4.0.3 servers, we need
    tools to configure both of them.

    Also not that we use /etc/XF86Config for 3.3.6 servers and
    /etc/X11/XF86Config for 4.0.3 servers.
