OpenBSD uses RAIDframe. get a look here:

IMHO, software RAID eats system resources & is not as reliable (flame
off please) as hardware RAID but this is kind of a religious war. If you
are looking for supported hardware cards, look under "RAID and Cache
Controllers" here:
